The Resende lab at OSU CFAH, led by Talita Pilar Resende, PhD, MSc, DVM, focuses on swine infectious diseases and autogenous vaccines. The lab has a strong focus on swine, ranging from basic science including pathogenesis of intestinal infectious agents, especially Lawsonia intracellularis, to epidemiological aspects of swine infectious diseases and field applied research, such as development of diagnostic tools for endemic and emerging swine infectious diseases. From fundamental scientific inquiries into the pathogenesis of intestinal infectious agents to field-based applied research, the Resende lab strives to generate insights that can directly impact the well-being of swine populations.
