Congratulations to Kush Kumar Yadav (Kenney Lab) and Menuka Bhandari (Rajashekara Lab) for receiving the Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) https://www.cast-science.org/ communication scholarship. Kush and Menuka are two of the 10 recipients of this scholarship. As a part of this scholarship, they will be attending the CAST exclusive annual meeting held on the OSU Columbus campus from October 26-28.

CFAH members travelled to London, OH last week for the 2021 Farm Science Review where we talked with people about how vaccines work. Kids also got to play the famous "Stamp Out Disease" game. A fun and informative time was had by all!

CFAH's Dr. Yosra Helmy is the recipient of the World Microbe Forum Outstanding Poster Award in the Novel approaches: Diagnostics/discovery and non-traditional therapies to combat drug resistant infections division.
Her poster is titled: Probiotic Escherichia coli Nissle 1917 (EcN) (free and chitosan-microencapsulated) reduces Campylobacter jejuni colonization in chickens
Her advisor is Dr. Gireesh Rajashekara

Congratulations to Kush Kumar Yadav (far right in picture) for receiving the Trainee Short Talk Award at the 2021 IDI Virtual 3rd Annual Meeting. The title of his presentation: Placental Lactogen Enhances Hepatitis E Virus Replication. He is one of the two recipients of the Trainee Short Talk Award. Kush's advisor is Dr. Scott Kenney.
