Congratulations to Kush Yadav (Kenney lab) for being selected as a recipient of the 2022 Student Life Leadership's Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award. The Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award is among the highest of honors conferred to graduate and professional students, this award recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to Ohio State in leadership and service outside their academic program.

On December 16th, CFAH hosted it's 2021 Holiday Christmas Party for all CFAH faculty, staff, students, and their guests. A delicious boxed lunch was sponsored by the CFAH faculty and fun was had by all ages thanks to holiday activities put together by social committee members, Hannah Gehman and Mike Kauffman.

On December 17, 2021 the Graduate Student Unit (GSU) at CFAH welcomed grad students and post-docs from CFAH and Animal Sciences to their inaugural event hosted at JAFB in Wooster. The group had 9 attendees and is planning their next event which will be held on Jan 28th.

Congratulations to Yusheng Guo who received the 2021-2022 William E. Krauss Director’s Award for Outstanding Publication by a Graduate Student on behalf of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and the Office of Research and Graduate Education. His advisor is Dr. Vlasova.

Congratulations to the following CFAH graduate students on successfully completing their graduate defenses:
Moyasar Abdulhameed successfully completed his master’s defense. His dissertation was titled “Characterization of Cross-Species Transmission Potential for Porcine Deltacoronaviruses Expressing Sparrow Coronavirus Spike Protein in Commercial Poultry”.
