    On May 8th, two of CFAH’s own received their degrees from The Ohio State University along with 12,439 of their fellow graduates.

     

  3. Triway Junior High School students learn about virology through Dr. Kenney’s Pathogen Punishers Outreach and Extension Program

    On May 6th, Dr. Scott Kenney and Kush Kumar Yadav shared the career of virology with Triway Junior High School students via Dr. Kenney’s Pathogen Punishers Outreach and Extension Program. Together they presented “Ask a Virologist” and “Microbes Make the World Go ‘round” to over 250 Junior High students. This program helps introduce students to a career in virology with aspects pertaining to agriculture and One Health. Dr.

  4. Kush Yadav is awarded the Mary A. Daniels Endowed Scholarship

    Congratulations to Kush Yadav (Kenney Lab) for being selected as the recipient of the Mary A. Daniels Endowed Scholarship. Kush was selected from an extremely competitive pool of highly qualified applicants due to his demonstrated leadership, professional development, and service to Ohio State.

  5. Pat Boley receives first place at the 2022 CFAES Research Poster Competition

    On April 14th Pat Boley (Kenney Lab) received first place in the Research Scientist/Associate category at the 2022 CFAES Annual Research Poster Competition, her poster was entitled SARS-CoV-2 Serological Surveillance of White-Tailed Deer in Northeastern Ohio. 

  6. The Return of CFAH Soup Day - Soups, Salads, and Fun

    After a two year hiatus due to the COVID19 pandemic, on April 8th, CFAH welcomed back the widely popular annual Soup Day. The event welcomes students, staff, and faculty to a friendly competition to determine the ultimate soup cook. This year there was a wonderful turnout of 10 soups that were voted on by all in attendance. The decision was hard to make but ultimately three winners came out on top:

  7. Carolyn Lee selected as awardee for CVM College Research Day 2022 presentation

    Congratulations to Carolyn Lee (Kenney lab) for being chosen as one of the two winners selected from 20 presentations submitted in the category “Immunology and Infectious Diseases” at the College of Veterinary Medicine's College Research Day 2022!

  8. GSU/CFAH welcomes CFAH alum Dr. Mahesh KC to March meeting

  9. CFAH faculty and staff participate in CFAES FastTrack Leadership Program

    On February 28 – March 2 the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences held the 2022 CFAES Leadership Program where Dr. Scott Kenney (Assistant Professor) and Sara Tallmadge (Laboratory Animal Technologist) represented the Center for Food Animal Health.

  10. Dr. Loic Deblais awarded 2nd position for oral presentation at the Edward F. Hayes Graduate Research Forum

    Congratulations to Dr. Loic Deblais who received the 2nd position for his oral presentation within the Postdoctoral STEAHM 1 Oral presentation category at the 36th Edward F. Hayes Graduate Research Forum. His abstract is titled, “In Vitro / In-Silico Modeling Facilitates the Discovery of Anti-Bacterial Compounds With Predictable Physico-Chemical Properties in Large Random Libraries”.
