Congratulations to our CFAH Autumn Commencement graduates!

On December 18th, 2022 The Ohio State University celebrated their newest graduates during Autumn commencement at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. Among those graduates were two of our own – Molly Raque and Sochina Ranjit.

Molly Raque, advised by Dr. Anastasia Vlasova, received her MS of Comparative Biomedical Sciences from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Preventative Medicine after successfully completing her thesis titled “The Role of Differential Host Glycan Interactions in Rotavirus Cell Entry and Replication”. Molly has accepted a Scientist position with Pfizer at their gene therapy lab in North Carolina.

Sochina Ranjit, advised by Dr. Gireesh Rajashekara, received her MS from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Preventative Medicine after successfully completing her thesis titled “Identifying Pss genes associated with pathogenicity and development of novel small molecule antimicrobials to control Pss in peppers." Sochina is continuing her education and pursuing her Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology at The Ohio State University in Columbus.
