FAHRP graduate student Dipak Kathayat has been awarded funding by SEEDS: The CFAES Research Competitive Grants Program for his proposal entitled: “Antimicrobial peptides as an alternative to antibiotics to control avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) infection in poultry”. Dr. Gireesh Rajashekara is his advisor.
SEEDS is funded by appropriations made to the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) of The Ohio State University. The goal of the SEEDS is to foster research excellence among scientists and faculty in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
