CFAH faculty and staff participate in CFAES FastTrack Leadership Program

On February 28 – March 2 the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences held the 2022 CFAES Leadership Program where Dr. Scott Kenney (Assistant Professor) and Sara Tallmadge (Laboratory Animal Technologist) represented the Center for Food Animal Health.

This CFAES FastTrack Leadership Program is sponsored by the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and utilizes the training provided by FastTrack Leadership and their Three-Day Leadership Intensive model, which is described in detail on the FastTrack website. This annual program is offered to 30-35 CFAES faculty and staff that are aspiring or current leaders at all levels who play a critical role in advancing the teaching, research, and/or outreach priorities of the college. Participants must be nominated by their college unit leader, Dr. Kenney and Sara were nominated by Dr. Gireesh Rajashekara, CFAH Interim Head. The program focuses on practical leadership skills, assessments and their use in organizational settings, perspectives in leadership, and applications to leadership challenges in the CFAES context, motivating people, dealing with conflict, and more. Participants also have the opportunity to develop relationships with a cohort of colleagues in CFAES.
